Faculty Biography
Kenneth R. Margolis was a principal in Fox & Margolis in Santa Cruz, California, and engaged in private practice in Cleveland before joining the faculty in 1984. His practice experience included a wide range of litigation, transactional, civil and criminal cases. He taught in a variety of clinics and served as the co-director of the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic Center, the law school's real client teaching clinic from 1998-2011. His primary teaching responsibility is in the center’s Community Development Clinic, and he also supervises several externship programs.
Margolis was instrumental in the creation of the CaseArc Integrated Lawyering Skills Program a nationally recognized model of lawyering skills training, and served as its Director from 2004-2011. In 2012, Margolis was appointed the law school’s inaugural Associate Dean for Experiential Education and served in that role for two years.
Margolis served as a member of the Advisory Committee to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio until 2013. His primary research and publications are in the areas of law school curricular reform, attorney-client relations and the delivery of legal services.
