Welcome from Case School of Law!

Each law school has its own unique culture and atmosphere — which is one reason why visiting a law school can help determine whether it is a good fit for you. At Case School of Law, we welcome visits by prospective students, because we know that you will be impressed! A visit to Case School of Law will provide you with the opportunity to tour the law school building, observe a first-year class, meet current students, speak with admissions staff members, and make your own conclusions regarding our law school environment.

Case Western Reserve University is one of the nation's premier independent research institutions. It is located in University Circle, a beautiful, culturally-rich area that includes the world-renowned Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Botanical Garden, the Museum of Natural History, and Severance Hall — home of the Cleveland Orchestra.

Just minutes away from University Circle is downtown Cleveland, home to one of the nation's largest and most sophisticated legal markets. Visitors to downtown can enjoy shopping at Tower City Center and the Galleria, dining and entertainment in the Flats and the Warehouse District, touring the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Musuem, and attending a home game of the Cleveland Indians (our Major League Baseball team), the Cleveland Browns (our National Football League team), or the Cleveland Cavaliers (our National Basketball Association team). With so much to do, there is never a dull moment in Cleveland!

Visiting Case School of Law

At Case School of Law, visits by prospective students are welcomed and encouraged. To address your needs, the Office of Admissions offers several visit options:

• Small group visits
• Individual visits
• Open houses
• On-line chats
• Virtual tours
• Campus tours

During the semester, small group visits are available every Monday through Friday that classes are in session. To help in scheduling your visit, please consult the academic calendar. In order to reserve a spot in the group, you must contact the Office of Admissions in advance by phone at 800/756-0036 or by e-mail at lawadmissions@case.edu.

During the semester, the small group visits will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Visits will include:

• A tour of the law school building guided by a Law Student Ambassador or an admissions staff member
• A coffee break with a Law Student Ambassador (when available)
• Observation of a law school class

For those who are unable to participate in a small group visit, we will do our best to schedule an individual visit for you. To make an appointment for an individual visit, you must contact the Office of Admissions in advance. Individual visits include a tour of the building and an opportunity to have your questions answered by an admissions staff member.


These events provide a wonderful opportunity to get a deeper understanding of our law school. All scheduled events are subject to change or cancellation. Please confirm your attendance two weeks before the scheduled date.
