Things to Do in Cleveland
We asked our students what they enjoyed around campus and in the city and here’s what they said.

In no particular order:
  1. Catch a professional sports game (Indians, Cavaliers, Browns)
  2. Hike around Squire Valleevue and Valley Ridge Farms and/or enjoy the Cleveland Metroparks
  3. See a performance at Severance Hall (discounted student tickets) and attend musical events at the Cleveland Institute of Music
  4. Walk around Lakeside Cemetery (the Garfield monument, Wade Chapel, Rockefeller Monument)
  5. Eat at and explore the Westside Market or The Souper Market across the street
  6. Drink Christmas Ale at Great Lakes Brewery or many of the other breweries in the area
  7. Eat lunch at Melt (yum!!!) or one of the many other fabulous restaurants in the area (there are too many to name and tons with great Happy Hours)
  8. Peruse through the vintage clothing at Chelsea's Vintage Clothing
  9. Visit the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame
  10. Check out The Cleveland Museum of Art

  9. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the Dean's house
  10. Go to the library to study and end up watching the squirrels out the window!

Favorite things to do in Cleveland.
  1. Getting married in a park in Little Italy first semester 1L year with your classmates and professors in attendance.
  2. Watching the Cleveland Indians through a thunderstorm.
  3. Watching a Cavs game up close for very little money.
  4. Getting a membership to the R+R Hall of Fame so its free every time you take visitors to it.
  5. Taking the in-laws for a stroll around Wade Oval.
  6. Visiting Amish Country.
  7. Running away from wild life right outside the law school.
  8. Malley's Chocolate Factory!
  9. Enjoying the warmth of Lake Erie.
  10. Again, Little Italy!

  6. Go on a cruise down the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie on the Goodtimes III.
  7. Eat and drink in Ohio City at Bier Markt, Bar Cento, Market Garden, or the Flying Fig. Take a tour and at Great Lakes Brewing Co.
  8. Watch a show at Playhouse Square.
  9. Go to a concert at the House of Blues.

Here are my Top 10 Favorite Things to Do in Cleveland:
city, campus, university circle, downtown, etc.
  1. Take a day trip to the Headlands Beach state park. Enjoy the white sand and various hiking trails.
  2. See a comedy show at Hilarities on E. 4th Street.
  3. Get together with friends for dinner and drinks at Happy Dog in Ohio City. (vegetarian option)
  4. Visit the Cleveland Museum of Art and other attractions at University Circle before taking a leisurely stroll around Wade Oval Lagoon.
  5. Spend the afternoon walking around the Westside Market.
  6. Get together to catch up with friends over some coffee at one of the Phoenix Coffee locations. They roast their own coffee beans and have the most talented baristas in Cleveland!
  7. Walk around the shops and cafes in Tremont before enjoying some fine Asian-fusion at Bac.
  8. Goto Now That's Class in Lakewood for a free concert on most nights and be sure to swing by on Tuesdays for Vegan night serving a variety of tasty snacks.
  9. Take an afternoon to see wildlife at the Cleveland Zoo.
  10. Be sure to check out the movies playing at the Cinematheque at the Cleveland Institute of Art

  5. Taking in a movie at the Cinematheque next door to the law school at the CIA.
  6. Having an impromptu picnic at Shaker Lakes.
  7. Weekend Dim-Sum in Cleveland's Asia Town.
  8. Late nights at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
  9. Pastries and fresh bread from On the Rise Bakery.
  10. Pupusas from Pupuseria La Bendicion on Cleveland's West Side.
